The registration process
1. Entirely on line through e-Albania platform;
2. Application for the registration is possible only by an Albanian resident
Type of entities subject to registration (most common)
1. Natural persons or self-employed (freelancers included here);
2. Limited liability company (LLC);
3. Branch of foreign company;
4. Representation office of foreign companies.
The preliminary steps
1. Prepare the articles of association including: address, legal name, legal seat, capital, object of activity, and personal data of shareholders and/or administrators;
2. For subsidiaries/branch the parent company should provide the following apostilled documents as well:
a. Resolution to establish an entity in Albania and appointment of the legal representative;
b. Bylaws of the parent;
c. Company certificate showing the parent is not in a process of liquidation or bankruptcy;
d. Financial statement for the last year (branch registration);
3. Translation and notary for the documents above;
4. ID of the shareholders and legal representatives;
5. Verify the name of the company if similar to others already registered.
Registration
1. Submission of the on-line application at e-Albania;
2. Approval usually within 48 hours;
3. Obtain certificate of registration within 24 hours from the approval.
Other required compliance
1. Register the ultimate beneficial owner (UBO) of the legal entity (except the natural persons);
2. Register the bank account within 20 days;
3. Register the legal representative within 48 hours to the tax system (e-filling);
4. Register the rent contract to the to the tax system;
5. Register the rent contract at the municipality.

1. Obtain the electronic fiscal certificate (takes approx. 1-15 days and costs 4000 Leke/year);
2. Obtain the electronic signature (takes approx. 1-15 days and costs 4800 Leke/year);
3. Obtain the company stamp (takes approx. 1 day and costs 3000 Leke);
