Frequently asked questions

How long does debt collection take in Albania?

It depends on the debtor’s attitude and on the evidence you hold. When the debtor pays after the formal demand, the matter closes quickly. When court proceedings and enforcement are needed, it takes longer, so we assess the case from the start.

What documents are needed to start?

Tax invoices, the contract if there is one, the sales ledger and any other correspondence with the client that can support the claim.

Can I collect a debt from Italy or Germany against an Albanian company?

Yes. We also review the contract, because if it names the competent court for disputes, this affects where and how the claim is pursued.
