Frequently asked questions

Does a commercial contract have to be in Albanian?

It is recommended that contracts are also in Albanian, because during an inspection by local authorities every document is requested in Albanian. We often draft them in two languages.

How long does a share transfer take?

Once the parties have agreed, usually 2 to 5 working days, depending on how the transfer is made, with or without a notarial deed.

How is a company with a foreign shareholder closed?

In the same way as one with an Albanian shareholder. The company can be put in passive status and reactivated at any time, or closed through liquidation, as set out in the articles and the law.
